Hi, I’m Kim S. Napolitano, and I’ve built Perry Home Naturals from the ground up—designing, crafting, photographing, and packaging everything you see here in my Oxford, Maine studio.
From hand-selecting fabrics and creating appliqués, to blending original scents, designing labels, and capturing product photos—this business is a true reflection of my hands and heart. It’s more than a product line—it’s a creative life I’ve built, piece by piece.
A Little More About Me
I’m originally from Queens, NYC, and have also lived in Utah, New Hampshire, and Vermont. I’ve been in Maine since 2006, where I live with my family and run Perry Home Naturals out of our home studio—doing a bit of everything, most days before lunch.
Outside the studio, I spend time with our chickens and cats, tend a garden, bake bread, and cook most of what we eat—including my grandfather’s tomato sauce, originally from Italy. He taught it to my grandmother, and it’s been passed down through our family ever since—but only to those of us who cook. I’ve taught it to my daughter, Veronica, and that’s where it stays until she’s ready to pass it on.
I also sew napkins and other home goods, landscape around our home, read tarot, and write when I can. I’m a birdwatcher, a crow-feeder, and someone who values a creative, hands-on rhythm to daily life.
Before starting Perry Home Naturals, I was a high school English teacher, worked in radio, and spent years in retail and small business management. Like most handmade businesses, this one is personal—and all of those pieces come with me into the work I do here.
How It’s Made
While I often work in small batches, every product is made with care and intention. I personally design each piece, choose the fabrics, and handcraft our essential oil and herbal blends.
Our appliqués? I make those too—cutting each one by hand or with custom dies, then heat-fusing and assembling them one at a time. Whether I’m stamping linen with fabric ink, blending herbs for eye pillows, or adjusting the color of a label design, the details truly matter to me.
I’m thankful to have a trusted stitcher who sews and turns our linen pieces, and my daughter now helps part-time in the studio. From design to final packaging, I remain closely involved in every step of the process.
