Handmade balsam fir moose sachet by Perry Home Naturals, made in Maine

A Perry Home Naturals Moose Spotted in the Wild 🫎🌲

One of the things I love most is when folks share where they've spotted my work out in the world.

Recently, my good friend Jenna stopped by the Gardiner Maine Crafts Association shop — of which I've been a member since 2019 — while out exploring Maine. While browsing, her daughter picked up one of my handmade balsam fir moose sachets and said,

"Mom, this looks like what Kim makes."

The best part? It was what Kim makes.

Even better — they said it smelled wonderful.

Moments like these never get old! I can't tell you how amazing it is to me, even after all these years of making things, when someone texts me to say, OMG I SAW YOUR PRODUCTS! It makes me feel like a rockstar!

Handmade in Maine, Filled with Real Balsam Fir

Every moose sachet is handcrafted in my Maine studio and filled fresh with fragrant Maine balsam fir that I source locally (myself as well as from a reputable small business in West Paris, ME). I fill them only when they're ready to ship, so the fragrance stays as fresh as possible when it arrives at your door.

People tuck them into dresser drawers, put them in closets, bring them upta camp, put them in their vehicles, or give them as gifts. Wherever they land, they make people smile, which always makes me a happy camper!

A Little Piece of the Maine Woods

I hear often from customers that these sachets bring back memories — a family vacation in Maine, a hike through an evergreen forest, the smell of a grandmother's cedar chest. That kind of connection is something a mass-produced air freshener just can't replicate.

They've found their way into homes as Maine souvenirs, housewarming gifts, hostess gifts, holiday stocking stuffers, wedding favors, and gifts for nature lovers. If you're looking for a unique handmade gift from Maine, they tend to fit the bill.

Thank You for Recognizing the Work

To Jenna — thank you for sharing this story with me. And to her daughter — thank you for recognizing my work out in the wild. I honestly can't tell you how much that meant.
