I Wish You Could Smell This

A little walk in the woods for you today. 🌲

Whenever I need a break from the studio, I step outside and head into the woods. The smell is intoxicating this time of year... warm pine, sun-soaked needles, damp earth, moss, and that fresh, almost sweet scent that appears where the sunlight filters through the trees.

Before I moved here, I only experienced this scent once a year on backpacking trips to Katahdin. It was one of the many reasons I fell in love with Maine... and one of the reasons I moved here nearly 20 years ago.

I wish I could bottle this...

Maybe I will. 😉💚
